Entry Requirements
- STPM:
- Interview
- Pass SPM or its equivalent with credit in Bahasa Melayu and
- Pass STPM or its equivalent, with minimum Grade C in 2 subjects including Pengajian Am/Kertas Am (General Studies/General Paper) or minimum 2.00 CGPA
- Pass Ministry of Education Matriculation or MSU Foundation Programme, or other Foundation Programme or its equivalent from higher learning institution with minimum 2.00 CGPA;
- Diploma in related field from Higher Learning Institution or other institution recognised by MSU Senate with minimum 2.00 CGPA;
- Pass The South Australian Matriculation (SAM) with minimum score of 65% ;
- Pass Canadian Pre University Programme (CPU) with minimum score of 80%;
- Pass Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with at least grade B in 5 subjects;
- Other equivalent qualification recognised by the Malaysian Government.
Curriculum
Core
The Bachelor of Medical Sciences (Hons) at MSU Malaysia is designed to give students a strong foundation in medical and health sciences, supported by hands-on training and soft skill development.
Year 1: Focus on Basic Medical Sciences, including anatomy, physiology, and human-environment interaction.
Year 2 & 3: Study Biomedical and Medical Sciences such as pathophysiology, communicable diseases, clinical and forensic medicine, genetics, and public health.
Year 3: Includes courses in Bioethics and Professionalism, as well as a final-year Internship in community medicine and clinical training.
Throughout the Program: Students will develop Personal Enrichment Competencies (PEC) like communication, teamwork, IT, and leadership skills.
This comprehensive curriculum prepares graduates for both further studies and diverse career opportunities in medical science and healthcare.
