The Master of Clinical Psychology at UCSI integrates the study of the human mind, behavior, and experience with a focus on assessing, diagnosing, and treating psychological disorders. Students learn from experienced academics involved in research and gain practical training in psychological testing and psychotherapy. The comprehensive curriculum covers areas such as clinical psychopathology across age groups, neuropsychology, psychopharmacology, and psychotherapy techniques, preparing graduates to work collaboratively with other mental health professionals to promote psychological well-being.

Entry Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree of at least 3 years' study in psychology with a minimum 2.75 Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) out of 4.00 and in accordance with MQA Program Standards for Psychology.
  • Shortlisted applicants must pass an interview with members of the selection committee (the selection committee consists of registered clinical psychologists)
  • A high standard of written and oral communication skills (English language)
  • Capacity to relate to a wide range of people from different age, gender, ethnic-racial, cultural, socioeconomic, and vocational backgrounds
  • Ability and willingness to sustain high workloads
  • Experience in clinically-related field is an advantage, but not mandatory

The interview serves as the most important entry requirement in determining the goodness-of-fit between the applicants and this programme. Applicants with strong academic qualifications may still be rejected if they fail in the interview session.
